You’re so damn tired of feeling like your emotions are controlling you.
You feel as though you are in a constant state of fear, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Your preoccupation with this anxiety is making it difficult for you to be present for the good times and with the ones you love. You try to carry it on your own, hoping time will heal. Meanwhile, the pressure is building and you wonder if you will ever feel like yourself again.
Once you choose hope, anything is possible.
Our Approach
Trauma changes our brain, activating the alarm system. This causes us to be in a permanent state of hyper-vigilance. We utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy to help you rewire your brain, turning off those alarm bells. It works by reprogramming the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain so that they no loner trigger strong physical and emotional reactions.
"To heal is to touch with love that which we previously touched with fear."

How it Works
Step 1
Let’s begin with a free 15-minute consultation. This gives you an opportunity to chat with your therapist before you decide to schedule. During this call, your therapis will have the chance to find out more about you and your needs and get a feel for if Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a good option for you.
Step 2
Next you'll have a session in which your therapist will hold space for you to disclose your trauma history, identifying those big events and the impact they have on you today. They will prioritize the memories you want to work on by the ones impacting you the most currently. This will be a good time for you to ask any questions you have about Accelerated Resolution Therapy and to discuss expectations.
Step 3
You and your therapist will then have one 90-minute session per traumatic memory. Your therapist will guide you in accessing the traumatic memories, while helping you to process any difficult feelings that come up. They will then help you in providing closure for yourself and changing the memory to be how you want to remember it. This is done using eye-movement desensitization which helps calm the nervous system and allows the brain to process and store information more effectively.
