About Brittany Clark
I am a marriage and family therapist in Katy, Texas, helping couples, individuals, and trauma survivors feel safer in themselves, more connected in their relationships, and more honest about the lives they want to build.
My work is gentle, relational, and grounded in the belief that healing often begins when we have enough safety to stop performing, get honest about what we are carrying, and understand how our earliest experiences, relationships, and protective patterns continue to shape us.
I bring both clinical training and lived respect for the complexity of trauma, family systems, identity, and healing into my work with clients.

A Place To Put Your Armor Down
I believe therapy requires a foundation of compassion, calm, and gentleness. Many of the people who come to me are thoughtful, capable, and used to being the strong one for everyone else. They may be privately carrying pain, hiding behind a tough exterior, or moving through life feeling disconnected from themselves or the people they love.
In therapy, we create space to explore what’s underneath those patterns, understand what has been driving them, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been overlooked or pushed aside.

Together, we allow room for honest discussion about what has been pushed aside, protected, or left unspoken. My role is not to tell you who you are or what you should do. My role is to help you listen more closely to yourself, understand the patterns that have shaped your life, and begin moving toward a more integrated sense of self.

Why Relationships Matter So Much To Me
I became a marriage and family therapist because relationships matter deeply to me. Before becoming a therapist, I worked closely with neurodivergent children and their families. I loved that work, but I also saw how often children’s struggles were connected to the stress, disconnection, and lack of support their parents were experiencing.
When parents were overwhelmed or unsupported, the whole family felt it. That experience shaped the way I see therapy.
I do not look at people in isolation. I think about the systems and relationships that have shaped their lives and continue to influence how they see themselves and move through the world. Our experiences within marriage, family, culture, faith communities, parenting roles, and past relationships all leave an imprint.
The expectations we learn, the roles we take on, and the ways we adapt to difficult experiences often make sense in the context of where we come from. Understanding that bigger picture helps us make sense of patterns that may no longer be serving us and creates space for meaningful change. I believe we are all shaped in relationships. Often, we heal there too.

Living More Honestly, Even When Life Is Complicated
Like many of my clients, I understand that personal growth does not happen in a vacuum. The choices we make about who we are, what we value, and how we want to live often affect the relationships and communities around us. Growth can bring relief and clarity, but it can also come with uncertainty, grief, and difficult questions. My own life has taught me to respect that complexity.
My father was a veteran who struggled with substance abuse, and I experienced the loss of him at a young age. For many years, I did not fully understand how experiences like that shape a child’s inner world, relationships, sense of safety, and ability to trust themselves.
Later, through my clinical training and my own growth, I began to understand more deeply how childhood trauma can live in the body, in family systems, and in the patterns we carry forward.

I have also had seasons of reflection around identity, belonging, faith, family, and what it means to live more authentically.
I understand that when values or beliefs shift within a family, the answer is not always simple or immediate.
My Clinical Approach
My work is informed by attachment-based therapy, parts work, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and ketamine-assisted therapy.
I work with couples navigating disconnection, conflict, intimacy issues, and repair. I also work with individuals healing from trauma, shame, self-doubt, relational wounds, narcissistic abuse, and painful life experiences that have made it hard to trust themselves. Across all of this work, my approach remains paced around your readiness.

Outside Of My Work
My family is very important to me. I am married and have three children, and I understand the real-life balancing act of parenting, partnership, work, and personal growth.
I grew up in Encinitas, California, which still has a big piece of my heart, and I now call Katy, Texas home. My husband and I have planted roots here with our family, and I feel grateful to serve clients in this community.
I enjoy reading, running, traveling with my family, and seeking out new experiences. Sometimes that adventurous part of me means I bite off more than I can chew. Other times, it leads to meaningful accomplishments, like completing an Ironman triathlon with my husband.
